Masterclass
24/07/2012 18:24Yesterday I had the chance to place myself into the tender hands of Sydney's rail network and travel to the State Library, courtesy of my English Department and the CBCA (Children's Book Council of Australia). Some of the highlights of the day were re-enactments of scenes from Romeo and Juliet (which if nothing else were hilarious) and attempts to perform a 32-second rendition of the same play. A great time was had by all of us, and we picked up some tips on writing tragedies from Tony Thompson, writer of the book Shakespeare: The Most Famous Man in London. Cheers Tony!
I would recommend these writing courses held by the CBCA, as it's a great opportunity to meet new people (and get some new friends on Facebook) and hear some great tips about writing.
