World War Z Trailer

In terms of post-apocalyptic, zombie-fests, we've been swamped by them, from 28 Weeks and Months Later, to Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Dead Rising 1 and 2, DayZ and most famously the Walking Dead. Max Brooks' novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, has become something of a cult classic since its release in 2006, being not only an engrossing read and narrative about a world overrun by zombies, but a thoughtful insight into social and political notions and allusions. It was also unique by being a collection of first-person recollections, told by survivors of the decade-long conflict many years after the war itself.

Just days ago a new trailer was released for the film, and it doesn't resemble the book at all. It resembles your typical, sprinting zombies, explosion-filled, apocalypse-themed, gun-filled Hollywood bollocks that sells so well yet is little more than money thrown into making the prettiest set-pieces ever. For a normal movie, it's cool, but it doesn't do justice to the book.
